I quilted my little cheddar quilt and all seemed to go well up to this point.

After that I struggled with skipped stitches. I still don’t know why. Have I mentioned lately how much I miss my long arm, Friday?

It finally got done.

Here is my scrappy backing.

I see here that I still missed fixing a few places of skipped stitches.

Not my best work. I was planning to donate this to a local Habitat for Humanity quilt auction, but now I’m not so sure. I still love the idea and overall look, the execution, not so much.
Have a great day!

It’s very nice and worthy of donation if you’re not personally crazy about it.
I’d still donate it, I bet no one will notice the skipped stitch. It’s so cute!
I love your quilt and the backing! It would still make a wonderful donation. Hugs,
when my machine skips it because the thread is wrapped around the needle. This happens if you have a thread cutter on your machine.
love the quilt.
Have you tried changing your needle to possibly fix the stitch skipping? Even if you have changed it recently, it may have gotten a burr. Love the cheddar!!
The colors and texture are great! I love the backing, too.
