This is my second quilt made as an homage to the work of Anni Albers. You can find the first one here.

Isn’t this backing fun? It was from an old IKEA duvet cover that Daughter #1 used for curtains.

This little finish ended up at 16 by 20 inches.

I didn’t think ahead when I cut my HSTs out. I cut the squares later and it wasn’t until I took this little bit outside for photos that I noticed the whites didn’t match.

This last photo was taken inside and you can hardly tell they are different.

I’m okay with it. It isn’t a museum piece, and I’ve had this happen before. I’d be more careful if it was a more important project.
Have a great day!

I love it when the backgrounds don’t match exactly.
Gives it more charm and looks like you planned it anyway.
Love this little quilt using up your scraps and the Backing is bright and cheery !
I thought some of the squares were pale yellow and I said to myself I want to make one just like this…! ! ! Cute! ! ! ( Jean from Ohio)
doesn’t have to be a museum piece to be pretty and decorative….
