We have been working hard on the house, which leaves less sewing time than I’d like. But sew I must, for my sanity. I thought I’d share a bit how I’m getting this project closer to the finish line in the midst of the chaos.
I made all the blocks I could like this with my leftover pieces.

But remember that bin of leftover binding strips? They were the perfect size to make some more. I took about 20 minutes one night pairing up strips to sew together. Another day I took another 20 minutes to sew them together.

During another work break, I pressed them.

A day or so later, I subcut my pieces. This took WAY too long. I left my 2 1/2” strip die back in Arizona by mistake. Big mistake!

I could have had this done in one quarter of the time it took with my rotary cutter and ruler!

During my next work break, I’ll sew some of these together.
Have a great day!
