I’ve been wanting to make a Log Cabin quilt for a while. I decided this would be one of the projects I kitted up to take to Michigan.
Of course, I’m using my AccuQuilt Die.

I’m not making full 12 inch blocks, though. So I only cut using shapes 1-8 on the die board. I broke out some long hoarded layer cakes for this!

But I wanted a way to store them so they wouldn’t get messed up in transit. I got a couple of these from my local Walmart for less than $6 each. The blue vertical dividers can be arranged any way you wish.

I’ve got some empty spaces, but things should stay relatively neat. I have one box for lights and one for darks.

BTW, I found these in the Fishing section. I guess they are considered tackle boxes.
Have a great day!

The AQ Log Cabin die cuts the strips at 1.5” wide.
The Flambeau Tuff Tainer #5007 (Large) box is 14.25”w x 9.125”d x 2”h.
Thanks for the tip about finding the containers in the fishing section. Who’da thunk?
Very resourceful! At one time, there was something akin to this called a “worm bag” (also from the fishing section). It had see-through zippered compartments that were perfect for threads, notions, hand piecing or appliqué.
That is a perfect storage plane for strip pieces!
Bravo! What a genius hack for transporting LC Strips!
How wide are those strips?
