I’m sure you saw this coming…. I had to do some serious rearranging. The mister helped me stack these basket units. That created more floor space, but I had to move them to a different wall so they wouldn’t be in front of the windows.

That meant the dies got moved, so then the cutters needed to be moved.

Two islands worked well in my sewing room in Michigan, so I thought I’d try that here. I think I like it, but the cabinet the Bernina was in had to go.

I’m sure you’ve noticed all the boxes under the tables…..someday I’ll get to those. But I won’t be shopping for fabric any time soon.

I cannot work in a messy space. This is still a lot messier than I like, but I think I can sew a bit now.

Looks like I need to work on those carts next to the long arm.

Have a great day!

Brillliant new room….congrats xo
It’s coming along nicely! The important part; it’s functional and organized(for the most part). Happy stitchin’!
What a fabulous sewing space. I love all the windows and the islands work out wonderfully. I like how you can see all your fabric in those wire bins. I wish I had that much space but I’m really grateful for what I have. I don’t have a cutter or a long arm so I don’t need as much space. So great that you can get it all into one room. I also don’t like to sew in a messy space and right now my sewing area is very cluttered. I guess the important thing is to be making progress on the current things being worked on and I’m doing that. Hope we both can enjoy using the space we have and creating wonderful things.
Wow! You have an amazing space and got so much done. You have probably said but what are the measurements of your room? I am having the hardest time figuring out my space
Holy smokes, Katy! I get hives just thinking about all the work this entails.
Boy, do I feel your pain through this process. I was working through this last year, moving from one house to another. I tell people it is like doing a puzzle with no pictures. I rearranged and rearranged and lose things, then find them and then misplace other things. And around again! Aye yi yi! You are getting there, I can tell…..I am just now really happy in my space. But I am still spending time looking for some things, because I have moved them so often. Hope you are able to finish and be happy with it ALL soon! Hugs, Sheri in Iowa
Love the room. Especially the wire basket system for holding all the fabric. Do they still make them?
