This winter has been brutal!

This meme perfectly describes my life right now.

What do you do with Stinky, your beloved childhood friend? Swedish death cleaning says it’s time to let go.

Said goodbye to this beauty last week. It’s a Singer 115 from 1919. It found a lovely home.

Have a great day!

Hi Katy, If you don’t mind me asking how much did you sell your Singer Treadle for? If you rather not say I understand. Where did you post it for sale? I have one very similar in condition and date. I’m not sure how much to ask for it. I’m trying to purge some stuff around my house. I would never admit it to Mike, but I have too much stuff. I guess when I was working full time I didn’t really notice it, lol

Lovely winter scene photos, Katy, but Noooo, don’t let go of Stinky! Ever! That’s a GORGEOUS Singer. I have a cabinet I need to sell.
I’ll take Stinky. Don’t throw him away.
I totally disagree about Stinky. I have a small teddy bear, as threadbare as Stinky, that belonged to my father. He is a treasure!
Totally disagree about Stinky! Keep him (or her). I have a teddy bear, as threadbare as Stinky, that belonged to my dad when he was a child. He is a treasure!
Yes, but the Swedish death cleaning book also mentions that you can have a box labeled that it can be tossed when you die, and Stinky could go into that box! I read and really enjoyed that book. I’m 74 and have another move in the next six months. I’m reading your process and progress with great interest. Good luck!
i’ve heard it said that the first half of your life you accumulate stuff and the second half you get rid of it…it does get easier as the years pile up….
