Trip Around the World

Yes, I know I have an unfinished project, but this has been calling to me.

I cut out these 3 1/2” squares some time ago. They are all from my stash of Denise Schmidt fabrics.

I wasn’t sure how big I wanted to make the blocks.

I think I want them pretty big.

I love the first layout. I’m not so sure about this second one. But it is fun to play.

Have a great day!

Beautiful blocks! That fabric is so pretty. I love how you have so many different ideas. I’m always interested in new project you start or an older one you finish up. Hugs,

I had always heard that when the blocks were on point and the top is assembled in strips the pattern is called Boston Commons and when it is a straight setting it is Trip Around the World. Lately, I have noticed that people are calling the on point setting arrangement Trip Around the World. Do you know if there is issue on this?
