It’s done! This was a very satisfying finish.

It’s been in my head for years and I’m glad I finally made it. The fabrics are all vintage.

This backing fabric came from the stash of my Great Aunt Celia. She died in 2016, just shy of her 100th birthday.

She never married after her fiancé was tragically killed in a boating accident. She was a school teacher. She built her own home and sewed her own clothes. She was quite stylish.

The binding fabric is from a vintage apron that was never finished.

I was going to get fancy with the quilting, but the quilt said, no.

Have a great day!

May I ask where I can get the pattern for this quilt? The yardage needed as well. Thank you kindly
Great memory of Auntie!
I adore this quilt! Love everything about it, from the fabrics to the background, to the binding. I am curious to see what you decide to do with your feedsack fabric. I am currently working on a scrap quilt and trying to use vintage florals in it. I think that pattern would work nicely with your feedsacks if you want to see it. Blessings!
A very special quilt! The sage green background is exactly what it needed to make each fabric sing. The story behind the fabrics is the icing on the cake. I love it!
That is so adorable!!
Perfect in every way!
This is beyond adorable, and the story it tells makes it even more special. I love the block you used as well as the quilting. It’s a real beauty 💗
At first I didn’t see it, didn’t know where you were going with this one. Silly me, because now it is magic and oh so special. I like it! Simple but incredibly sweet.
Stunning quilt with a great story!
Beautiful work!
It turned out very pretty, Katy!

Love your quilt.
And that Old fabrics from your ant.
