It’s done! I’m smitten with this quilt for so many reasons.

It’s big and has 8,000 pieces in the top. It finished at 80” by 100”. It’s as scrappy as can be!

These blocks must have taken ages, but I didn’t make them. An online friend that I have corresponded with for a number of years gave them to me! I know, I still can’t believe it! And that beautiful backing came from another online friend, Sweet Ila! So it seemed appropriate to call this postage stamp quilt, Pen Pals.

Don’t look too closely at my quilting, it was all done freehand.

I definitely did not want the quilting to be the focal point here.

Here are a couple photos taken after washing.

I could study these fabric bits for days. It’s already been nap tested. 😊
Have a great day!

This quilt is gorgeous! LOVE LOVE IT! The postage stamp has been on my bucket list for years. Great job.
This quilt is gorgeous – back and front! What is the finished size of the squares?
This is an awsome quilt! Thank you for sharing.
I have a postage stamp quilt made by a great aunt, who stitched it together back in the day before there was such a thing as strip piecing, so each little square was sewn, one by one. I love that quilt, and I love yours! What a great finish!
Love the quilt. Wondering what the size of the finished square was!!! Thank you. Carol L.
