Finish It Up Friday ~ Starry Night

I think nearly everyone is familiar with Van Gogh’s painting, The Starry Night.

Well, I’ve recently finished my overly simplified, pixelated version.

I freehanded the quilting to add swirls.

I had found this free beading pattern online and used that as my design.

It isn’t my most successful quilt, but it was fun!

Before I go, I had to let you in on this deal from AccuQuilt .

My AccuQuilt studio cutter is still my favorite!

Have a great day!

I think abstracting from other pictures(paintings or photographs) is great fun. And Starry Night was a great piece to work with. I haven’t done it for a while. You inspire me to think those possibilities again.

I knew what it was a s soon as I saw it. It’s great! Simple X Stitch is good for pixelated quilts, too.
