This was a sweet finish! One of my readers suggested the name, Double X for the block, so that’s what I’ve taken to calling it.

The fabrics are lovely and I didn’t feel it needed a border.

I’m quite chuffed with my machine binding. I’ll share a post next week with more detail.

I kept the back simple, mostly because I’ve been sewing from stash and had this on hand. Boring, but cost effective.

I quilted with an all over pattern.

Here is the pantograph info.

This quilt finished at 60 by 80 inches. No pattern, I worked out the block from an antique quilt.

Have a great day!

That is such a beautiful quilt – your pattern and colors compliment each other so well!
It’s gorgeous! Love the colors and your quilting is lovely.

Your quilt is beautiful! Hugs,
Very nice job using that pantograph. I recently did a similar pantograph and found those curls hard to navigate. Practice, practice and patience.
That binding is the perfect frame for a lovely work of art. Great job!
I love the close up of the quilt on the railing. It looked like a totally different quilt to me at first. It’s lovely and the quilting is beautiful. I would LOVE to make it. Could you please share the dimensions of the HSTs? Quick math in my head says they’re 3″ finished. Could I use FQ’s? Thanks for sharing, Katy.
very nice quilt adaptation…boring but frugal is good!
