I was in a real quandary about the background of these blocks. So I asked a friend who is a much better quilter than I and an expert at reproduction fabrics.

She suggested using a solid. Her go to recommendation is Bella 200. I think it’s similar to Kona Snow and thought I had some. Nope. It’s probably in Arizona. But I did find this.

I don’t remember buying this. 🤦🏻♀️ But I cut some up and tried it out.

Oh, yeah! I thought it would be too white and wouldn’t have tried it, but I know she knows what she’s talking about. It is crisp.

Much better. Time to rip that first block apart.

This is a bit of the original.

I have my work cut out for me. Lol!

Have a great day!

Though I loved your sample block, I can see where a consistent background is a good decision.
Thanks. It really is stunning.
What is this pattern called? I know you used the dies, but I love the pattern
