This and That

It’s been a busy week, as my dad would say, full of thises and thats.

Suzanne sent me this photo of a top she finished from our little quilt along last spring. Isn’t it lovely? She used a Kansas Troubles jelly roll. Thanks for sharing, Suzanne! Beautiful work!

I’ve wanted a circular sock knitting machine for years, but they are pricy! I found free downloadable files on Thingiverse, and Mr. Wonderful 3D printed this for me! I’m waiting on needles that I had to order so I can try it out.

He cut down a big tree in our backyard last week. It was dying and he was afraid a storm might cause it to fall on the house. We planted this tree the summer after we moved here. I was so sad to see it go.

I recently had a post published on the AccuQuilt blog. This was such a fun project!

Daughter #3 sent this photo to me. It is a bit of Hmong appliqué that she saw at an antique fest. Such beautiful work!

Have you read any of Karen White’s books? The Sound of Glass was recommended to me. I really enjoyed it and now I’m reading this one.

Have a great weekend!

I really, really like Suzanne’s quilt. Great job, Suzanne! Mr wonderful did an AMAZING job 3D printing the knitting machine. My son 3D prints some pretty complex looking things too. Sorry to see that tree go but it’s better to be safe than sorry. I had to Google what Hmong applique is. That’s a beautiful example. I listened to an audio sample of The Sound of Glass and found it interested me. I may use one of my audible credits to purchase it. Thanks for the recommendation.
