Sorting, sorting, sorting….

This project has been staring me in the face for months.

I finally got started sorting. 12 of 40 drawers are done.

It isn’t as neat as I would like, but did I mention I have 40 drawers like this?

I have had several piles of fabric that were all from the same line. These have been sorted by color now. I think I will end up with reproduction fabric separate from anything modern also.

I moved all my precuts to this cabinet.

I do have a discard pile as well. I have a long way to go, but they say beginning is half done! Wish me luck.

Have a great day!

I too keep my reproduction separate from the rest. In it are some non reproduction but , Oh, that will fit, kind as well.

looks great….people like you make people with me who have a lot less feel really good!

  3. I tend to find new projects/ideas while sorting. It is one of my favorite times to re-energize.

I just got through going through ALL my fabric drawers and kits and ufos and got everything all organized and under control. I sold some of my kits that I didn’t love anymore since they were already precut, and I couldn’t incorporate the fabric back into the stash. Felt so good to get this done and I have already made several scrap size throw quilts to give through my church’s quilt ministry. Seeing each piece of fabric again made me realize just exactly how much I had (gulp) and inspired me to start using it to bless someone going through a really hard time.
