Misadventures in Knitting

I’ve taken some time to play this week. At times, it felt a lot more like work.

I did manage to knit this hat.

I’m not a big fan of the looser knitting. But I thought it would work well for a produce bag, so I tried that next.

Nope, nope, nope.

I tried several different types of yarn, but it seems to like regular old DK acrylic yarn best. I made this hat with some yarn leftovers from E2s Christmas scarf.

I had lots of dropped stitches to fix.

I’m happy to say that E1 and E2 loved them, even with the imperfections.

I had hoped I could use this with the grands, but if I’m frustrated, they will be. I’m not necessarily giving up yet, but it hasn’t been as much fun as regular knitting.

I think I’ll go back to our regularly scheduled programming.

Have a great day!

I bought one & did 10 hats. I gave up. Just too many dropped stitches. I might get a hat nearly done and there would be a knot in the yarn, more dropped stitches. I thought I would be able to quickly knit up a bunch of my yarn & have lots of hats to donate. The best laid plans. LOL

It does look like a lot of work and not much fun but the two hats for the grands turned out well.
