The housewarming quilt is done and gifted. Some quilts just come together so quickly and easily, and then there is this one. 🙄

I used my modern wave pattern boards to quilt this.

Even that I struggled with. Nothing went smoothly. But that’s just how life is sometimes.

You might remember that the person this is for said she liked teal, purple, and blue. I managed to get all three of those colors in the binding. The color in this next photo is off, but I had to share that mothered corner. It was my one victory here.

in the end, it got done. And I learned a few lessons along the way.
Have a great day!

This is lovely, it certainly doesn’t look like it gave you all that trouble 🙂 Thanks for linking up to TGIFF too
Things may not have gone smoothly, but the finished quilt is beautiful!
The quilt top itself is really beautiful and the process to quilt it looks quite complicated to me. You did well to persevere and yes that corner is perfect!
Your quilt turned out great! The quilting is super. Enjoy your weekend. Hugs,
Amazing quilt! Love your waves, and this binding is just perfect with the stripes!
Oh my, the texture on this one is amazing! Very striking effect. And YAY for a victory over those mitered corners! Wonderful finish, Katy!
I don’t know what your struggles were, but this is gorgeous! And those corners…perfection!
Yay for small victories!! and that quilt is really cool!!! It reminds me of the ocean. What a great gift!
It’s a beautiful quilt! I think the projects that give us some trouble are the ones that are especially satisfying to complete.
