Mr. Wonderful and I went to visit Daughter #3 and SIL this past weekend. I’ve missed them so since they moved to the west side of the state! I needed a car project and had planned to do a bit of knitting. But I really wanted to quilt. So at the last minute, I grabbed this small top and got it basted.

It is only about 29 inches square and far from perfectly pieced! I wanted to use this smaller hoop in the truck.

So I decided to use this stencil without the rope border. I’m also adding an extra arc in between each one marked with the stencil.

I’m using this vintage piece for the back.

I have my next hand quilting project already chosen so I want to hurry and finish this little one. I’ll be sharing that one soon!

What a great little quilt. I’m so glad you had a chance to go visit. From later posts, it sounded like you had a great time, too.
It’s adorable. An old-fashioned pattern with old-fashioned fabrics and backing would just not look right with perfect piecing anyway!
That red and white quilt is adorable and the backing is perfect for it! I don’t know how you find so many vintage tops to quilt.
like that stencil, I have one similar but without the rope
What a pretty little quilt! Enjoy the time with your daughter! Safe travels!
