I’m finally making some progress on Daughter #2’s QOV. I hade one row, two pieced borders, and two straight borders to finish the top. But I just didn’t want to. The pieced borders were made of trapezoids and triangles. Ugh.

Once I forced myself to get those done, the rest of the top was a breeze. I decided against more borders because it would have been too big. I got it in the frame.

Now I have to decide how to quilt it. I used an old calendar to make myself a stencil so I could use my little white board to try out some ideas.

Not thrilled with any of these. I have the binding done, so I hope I can get the quilting plan nailed down today.
Have a good one!

Have fun quilting! I quilted a quilt similar to this one with continuous curves using a ruler. You can see it here if you would like another quilting idea. http://quiltkisses.blogspot.com/2016/10/halloween-hex-finished-quilt.html
Fantastic! I love that little blue star fabric. I bought yards and yards and I think I used the last piece in a QOV top last weekend. It was the perfect background for so many quilts.
Don’t worry about the quilting design it will come (probably in the middle of the night) and it will be superb!
