Here is a quick update on my leader/ender project. I have finished all 64 blocks! Here are the last few.
That’s quite a stack there!
This is all the pieces I had left.
I am donating these to our Maker Space for kids at the library. I want them out of my house! I am still debating on a border for this. I would like to add a narrow border, but it will be 96 inches square before adding one. If I do, I will need to buy bigger batting than I have right now!
Remember these hour glass blocks? They will be my next leader/ender project.

It shouldn’t take long to finish these blocks up that way. In the mean time, I need to think about the next leader/ender project that I want to do.
Have a great day!

If you think it is too big,, divide them and make two quilts with borders. I think Bonnie Hunter is coming up with a new leader/ender project next month. You have to be very organized to do leader/ender projects. I always want to get started on a quilt then I forget about the leader/Enders. Yours look great . It will be enjoyed what ever yo decide. Happy summer.
I don’t see enough to get very far very fast on a leader ended project – because I do a lot of hand-piecing. And, I already have another one in the works. But when I do start a new one, it will be like this one! I just love it! Gray has long been one of my favorite go-to colors, and I’m a big fan of scrap quilts, so the combination here really rocks my boat!
My, that is quite a stack and it has turned out beautifully.
Yeah for leader/ender projects – some day I’ll have to set my mind to doing this. Usually, I just want to sew! Thanks for linking up at Midweek Makers
I love these blocks. I really need to get a leader/ender project on the go ,,,, it’s just finding the time to get it stocked and cut!
Your leader ender blocks are beautiful and so much work. Maybe just bind it in a dark fabric. I’m looking forward to seeing your progress on the hour glass blocks.
Your finished leader/ender quilt top is amazing!! I really like the solid color you used for the alternating blocks….it makes all the other fabrics pop! Looking forward to seeing if you do add a border, and also how you decide to quilt it….
I love your leader ender project. My LE project fell by the wayside. I forgot about it for a while, and then my most recent project was a paper piecing project. I’ll have to see where I tucked that project to see if I have enough two patches to start piecing them into four patches.
I’ve never heard of leader/enders- but your quilt looks fantastic. Look forward to seeing your hour glass quilt
