It is already August 9th and I have yet to review my July goals! Here goes:
1. I want to complete the SQT challenge quilt for July. Done!
2. I want to finish the rainbow strip quilt.
Done!
3. I want to finish the pink/green UFO. I don’t even know the name of the block anymore! – Not done :(.
4. I would like to get the Churn Dash blocks together and quilted. Not done :(.
However, I did finish the problem child:
I also had company, went on vacation, and shopped a lot!
For the rest of August, I would like to:
1. Finish a current mini made from vintage 30s fabrics.
2. Make a “Nail Polish” quilt, free pattern here from the Fat Quarter Shop.
3. Finish appliqueing my pumpkin seed blocks.
4. Make a lap quilt from a lovely black/white/pink/red FQ stack. This will be a gift if I can get it done by the end of the month.
I have a quick trip to Wisconsin in the middle of the month and I will be heading out to see this little angel at the end of the month.
So there isn’t much month left!
Happy Saturday!

You will do great with your August goals, I mean you only missed one thing in July so don’t beat yourself up! You get so much done each month that I get tired just watching you!! I’m so excited that Fat Quarter Shop made the Nail Polish quilt a freebie! I was making a list at the end of July when I first saw this and it was a must have, but the kit was $50 and I wasn’t able to find a price for just the pattern. Now I know why!’ Every girl will need that!!
Your little guys are getting so big! Enjoy your trip to Wisconsin to see that handsome lad and your lovely daughter too. People seem to forget the parents once the kids are born, or that’s how it seems sometimes.
Keep up the great work, I love seeing it!

Love the “nail polish” pattern. I have to make it for my soon to be 14 year old granddaughter…. she “loves” her nail polish! I am always amazed at how much you accomplish every day. LOL
Thank you again for the pinwheel quilt – it’s hanging in the sewing room. You certainly accomplished a lot in July! Good luck with your august list and have a wonderful visit in Wisconsin.
We’re almost a third of the way through August … not a lot of August left … and I’m sure you’re counting the days down until the end of the month when you get to spend some time with that sweet little one. In the meantime, I’m confident that you’ll be able to mark off most of your to-do list.
