WIP Wednesday

I got my three blocks done yesterday for a total of 6.

And I remembered why I don’t like following patterns, I get bored! Seriously, I had to force myself to finish these three. I like the quilt, I don’t love it. I am looking forward to quilting it. Three more blocks…

Daughter #3 picked up some fun vintage fabrics for me at an estate sale last week.

Aren’t they fun? She also picked up this small vintage quilt for the princely sum of $3.00! What a deal! I love the Baptist fan quilting.

Hi I am visiting from Let’s Bee Social. I love the vintage fabric your daughter found. I am a bit puzzled by the first one but the third is fantastic!

Katy, it is going to make a soft and sweet quilt, so stick with it! i love it’s old fashioned look! I get bored like that too. It helps to assembly line piece it and get in a rhythm, then before you can pull out too much of your hair, It’s done! LOL
Those are awesome vintage fabrics by the way – your daughter has a good eye for snagging great fabric!

  8. Judy says:

I agree, following patterns can be boring. The end result will be lovely, though!!

I like the pieced blocks – its’s definitely worth finishing but i get bored my repetitive blocks too! Chain piecing helps as does audio books!

  11. Your blocks are looking lovely, Katy… and you have my sympathy on the boredom. You made me chuckle when I read that! Great finds in the fabric and antique quilt departments. How fun!

  12. Enjoy the quilting 🙂 Meanwhile I love that red and green vintage fabric….gorgeous find!
