I finished my Dream quilt! It was a great practice quilt and this one is for me. Good thing. It has a few issues! For one thing, I need to block this one. The dense quilting has made it a bit wonky. It was washed and dried in the dryer. So here are the pics.

I took a bunch of pics trying to figure out how to get the quilting to show best.

It doesn’t look too bad from a distance but up close I see problems. A loop of thread here and there:

Points that are not so pretty on the back.

And of course the wavy edges are the worst but again, I am hoping blocking will take care of that.
At least Baby E seems to approve!
I used Warm and White batting and Glide thread in Cool Grey for the quilting.

I have just been taking a better look at your gorgeous Dream quilt email. Cute little baby I must say. I am curious about how you decided to quilt the quilt in the way that you did – I notice the angular lines which make geometric shapes appear on the back – is there a particular pattern or reason for those shapes or sections? How did you come up with that design? I see – and read – that you used areas for practicing different patterns which I understand. I really like definition of the word Dream – how did you achieve that indented appearance – which appears on some of the long straight lines too? I think the quilting on this quilt is quite unique and I just wonder how and why you made your choices to quilt it this way.

Beautiful quilt and quilting
Wow! That’s some dense quilting, Katy. You sure DID get a lot of practice in. Great job, as always.
