I had a wonderful morning yesterday having coffee and a catch-up with a friend. I got to see her current quilty projects and stitch a bit on my hexie quilt. She even left me a quilt top she made for a soon to arrive grand baby to quilt. I spent the afternoon quilting it and love how it turned out. Here is a sneak peak:

Last night I got my rainbow strip quilt top together. Sorry for the terrible picture. I need to work on a photography set up in my new space.
One week from today, Daughter #2 will be home for a visit. I can’t wait! I have lots if housework to get caught up on in the mean time. Let’s see how much I can get done before work today!

Rainbow Strip Quilt…LOVE!!! Nice job!
LOVE the second one! Beautiful.
I love the pieced stripes on your quilt top. Did you use a pattern or design it? Very striking.
I adore the 1930’s reproduction fabric your friend chose and your quilting will withstand the many future washings it’s bound to see.
I think of Pippi Longstockings whenever I see your rainbow quilt. LOL!
What an adorable baby quilt! That gray background for the rainbow strips is perfect!
