Slow Stitching Sunday

I am generally an early riser. This morning, I am enjoying a bit of hand stitching while listening to a gentle, much needed rain outside my window. I love it when the rain is gentle and the wind calm so that the windows can be open while it rains! Here are my ugly mugs getting bound:

Yesterday was another beautiful day here. In the morning, Mr. Wonderful and I went garage saleing with Daughter #1 and SIL. That baby should be here any day now!

We found some fun baby things. I thought Daughter #3 might appreciate this:

We all had a good laugh over it!

I forgot to mention this book.

I listened to this while folding fabric Friday on the 70th anniversary of D-Day. It was excellent. These men were true heroes.

Here is a link to a moving D-Day tribute created on the beach at Arromanche, France. I have stood on this very beach many times and every time it gave me chills.

It has been said:

  1. That baby is ready to pop out any minute!
    Your mug mats are fantastic!
    Enjoy your slow stitching!

I have to agree. The sound of rain is most calming. It’s such a rarity for Southern California and when we DO get rain, it’s a deluge!

Oh, my goodness! Another baby to love and cherish! I wish I had more photos of my pregnant self but society (40-50 years ago) dictated otherwise. I have one photo of each pregnancy where I was draped in extra yards of fabric. haha

Daughter #1 appears to be another clone of you. I just love that!

A new grandbaby….how exciting! We are also expecting our third grandson any day now. 🙂

  4. Indeed it looks like that baby will be here SOON. 😉

    I love your quote, too.
