I finished my little HSTeria top yesterday.

It measures 20″ square at present. I have no idea how I will quilt it.
I can’t believe how many of you said, “Don’t throw away the scraps!” LOL! I didn’t. When it came down to it, I had to use them. I made three mug rugs and can say that I used every stinking bit of those Kaffe charms! Having said that, these are pretty ugly mug rugs and are much more likely to get used than the first one I made.

I’m not a pastel girl so it’s no wonder that these are the scraps left at the end.
I finished a little project at work yesterday too.

Do you like my freshly painted book cart? My supervisor at work let us each paint our own cart whatever color we wanted. We have magenta, orange, red, purple, etc. I am really pleased with how mine turned out. It’s the little things, people!

I have a quilt top made with HSTs that is still waiting to be quilted. It is big and bold and still waiting. I think it has been waiting for at least six months to be quilted. I’m sure we’ll both find our muse to get these finished.
Beautiful quilt! And I like the mug rugs too.
What a stunner of a quilt! Love the way it has been designed off-centre, love your green cart too!
Hi Katy, Congratulations! You won the HSTeria drawing today. Please send me an email and we can discuss the prize!
I like how your quilt came together, too. And I love your bookcart!
Yes – it IS all about the little thing!
I’m a HST fan too, they’re so versatile and can look so different depending on the fabric and layout. These look so good, can’t wait to see what you decide about the quilting. The trolley colour is wonderful too, certainly brightens up a place and they know who’s is who’s.
I love HST quilts, and don’t really have the patience for them. I really like how you designed this one.
Beautiful quilt, I love it! It will look great draped over a table or on the wall. BTW, I found your blog through My Quilt Infatuation Linky Party and just wanted to invite you to my blog’s new linky party. {http://moderntraditionquilt.blogspot.com} π
Looks awesome! I have some major KF scraps left from the triangle log cabin I did a couple of months ago. . . and lots of grey left from my current project. . . hmmmm π
I *really* like the asymmetrical design of the little quilt, Katy. You must be very proficient at spray painting. I’d be afraid to try it.
Those are not ugly mug rugs! And I love that colorful book cart!
great quilt – the grey as the background looks great.
what a fun book cart!!
