Sewing Room Progress and HSTs

I got one more HST block made last night.

I am trying to evenly distribute lights and darks but am not concerned with color placement. I have the next one all set out in case I find a few minutes to sew.

Mr. Wonderful was off yesterday and got the computer set up and lots of work done in the office. I moved a lot of stuff from the new sewing room into the office so we can get ready to do the floor in there. My big job this week is to finish painting in there and the stairway.

Remember my old sewing desk that Mr. Wonderful modified for me?

I bought this steel case desk from a thrift store for $25 and He made it so I could set my machines in it flush with the desk top.

Yesterday, he suggested giving it a makeover with white paint. It isn’t finished but already looks SO much better! I am really happy with how this is turning out!

The little white dog has decided he likes the cement floor in the basement.

He really blends in! I had to pay attention so as not to trip over him.

Linking up with Connie at Free Motion by the River for Linky Tuesday.

What kind of paint did you have to use on the metal desk? I am really liking it white too-it’ll look great with your white cabinets.

Love your hsts! Wow, that desk doesn’t look the same! I am so glad I found your blog and check it daily. I have a fabric cutting system also and loved seeing all the quilts you cut out and make with yours. Can’t wait to see finished pics of your new studio!

Love your HSTs and the desk looks awesome. Funny what a coat of paint can do. The space is coming along, the end is almost in site, few more weeks? My long is going to the spa in July to be pampered. I expect her to be gone for 3 weeks, I’m starting to shake a little already but I’ve been watching how well you keep your composure with the long arm 🙂 Inspiring.

  4. Wow, what an improvement on that sewing desk!
