Design Wall Monday

Seems like forever since I have had a DWM post! This is what I am “designing” today. First, a backing for the challenge quilt.

And then the quilting that I will go on the quilt itself.

I am not feeling particularly creative today 😕. I am hoping by the time I get back from taking the dog to the vet, that inspiration will strike as I really need to get this thing quilted today.

While it is a challenge quilt, I am not going for an award winner here. I just see this challenge as another opportunity to create a Quilt of Valor for a deserving vet. I am going for well done rather than a ribbon. The reward for me is knowing that it will bring comfort to someone who has given of their life for us.

Your fabrics in your QOV quilt are awesome!! The quilt will just sing. Thank you for giving some cheer to one of our hero’s.

Most of the time I wait for inspiration but if the quilt has waited for a while I just plunge right it. I have pantos and a couple of stand-by meanders that fill the bill and amazingly they seem just right once they are done. This quilt looks like it can stand on its own two feet so something simple will be great.

  3. This is really one of the prettiest QOV’s I’ve seen. Someone is really going to love it.

Your QoV challenge quilt is fabulous! It will sure be used and well loved – isn’t that the best thing that can happen to a quilt?

  5. It will be beautiful and a real blessing for some vet.
