I already blogged about this here but now I have pictures! On December 28, 2013, I had the privilege of presenting Quilts of Valor To David and Peter. These two brothers both served in the Army during the Iraqi Freedom Campaign. A coworker of mine has been friends of this family for years and had asked me to make QOVs for the brothers. She arranged for us to meet at a restaurant and have lunch before the presentations. I believe there were about 12 family members present. My coworker’s husband is a photographer and he captured the most wonderful pictures that day.
If you look at their faces, you will understand why I do what I do.

Kinda says it all, doesn’t it? If you would like to help honor our combat veterans by getting involved with Quilts of Valor, please visit the website by clicking here.

Wonderful photos. Our guild is very active in QOV and the presentations in our area. Just makes you proud of our service members and what they have done.
Well done Katy! Hugs
Fabulous!!
This is beautiful and so expressive, all involved have done great, great things magnified by the joining of all of you together in this presentation event and sharing the emotion with others. You’ve done a stupendous job, Katy! May you be blessed by His grace to continue this art that means so much to the recipients.
What a great post, Katy, and YES, the looks on their faces are priceless and describe exactly why you do it.
God bless those boys, and you for giving them comfort.
