Design Wall Monday

Remember way back last fall when I pieced these blocks?

Well, I am back to working with them. I even got a few rows sewn together.

I hope to get this top together this week. It will be a surprise just for fun quilt for a friend that I think might need a bit of encouragement.

I also put one of the vintage quilt tops that I got for Christmas from Mr. wonderful loaded into the frame.

I am going to quilt a simple grid. I will do all lines one way and then remove the quilt from the frame and reattach it to quilt all the lines going the other way.

I also wanted to say thank you all for your kind comments regarding my Farmer’s Wife and Tree Everlasting quilts. It is always so much fun to share my finishes with like minded people who truly understand the thrill of finishing a quilt!

Your plus blocks look great! Can’t wait to see the final result.

  5. I like the design wall on which you have posted the blocks in this blog. How did you make it and how is it attached to the wall? I am desparately trying to create a wall in my family room and have the space to attach it to the wall or hang it from the drop down ceiling frame. Thank you!

It looks like you are going to have a great week: one quilt on the frame and another in process. Have fun!

  7. I am loving that vintage quilt you are loading on your machine!! I can’t wait to see this one done! I think a grid pattern will compliment it nicely! Good luck getting your other quilt pieced-I have had my eye on that specific pattern for a while–i love the simplicity of it. šŸ™‚
