I finished! And while it is far from perfect, I am quite pleased with how it turned out.

The quilting looks pretty decent from a distance. Up close, you can see that I need a lot more practice with freehand continuous curves.

The panto fit the white strips perfectly and I would do this again. This will be a Quilt of Valor but I am going to enjoy it here for just a bit first.
Happy Sunday!

Just gorgeous (nothing more to say)!
Thanks Rachel! It is amazing to me that a pattern that is so old can look so contemporary. I do love two color quilts.
Take care, Katy

This is such a beautiful work of art! I love the simplicity of the two colors and the quilting just adds a fun new dimension. Stunning!
wonderful quilt and the quilting is marvelous!
You sure can put a quilt together in a hurry! It’s great and pretty darn close to perfect I’d say!
The freehand CC is hard enough in a square but then throw in a diagonal and it takes it to a whole new level of complexity. I think the person doing the quilting and a judge judging the quilt at a competition are the only ones examining the quilt as closely as you are. Everyone else stands 3 feet or more away and looks at the quilt as a whole, not the individual pieces. I think you did a great job! It is a gorgeous quilt!
It’s beautiful. I’m glad you’re going to hold onto it for a little while to enjoy it. 😉
Beautiful, I love it. Enjoy your day!
