What a great day to be inside! All the schools were listed closed last night. I stayed in my pjs all morning yesterday, took a shower, and put clean pjs on! I didn’t get as much done as I should have but I did get the borders on my Farmer’s Wife quilt and get it loaded on the frame for quilting.

Now I have to figure out what thread to use.

This is Premo-Soft from Fil-Tec. I also have to figure our how to quilt it.
I also changed my mind on the red and white quilt. I decided to make a Tree Everlasting quilt. This is a very old pattern and has been on my to do list for years.

I think it will be really fun to quilt. I got my fabrics ready to cut.

Well, the red anyway. I am trying to scrounge up enough of the same white without going to the store. This is Mr. wonderful clearing the driveway the first time today.

He has done it two more times since. Poor little white dog could get lost in this!

I am thankful that I don’t have to work today. Be careful out there if you have to go!
I am linking up with Judy at Patchwork Times for Design Wall Monday and Marelize at Stitch by Stitch for Anything Goes Monday.

Don’t match up the white! Find a bunch of tone-on-tone whites and go with that. Sure, it will be a different look, but it could be great combined with that solid red. The last quilt I made with reds, whites and blues used stacks and stacks of red and white tone-on-tone fabrics. Came out great!
Congratulations on the Farmers’s Wife finish – I’m looking forward to seeing how you quilt it.
Can’t wait to see your Farmer’s Wife quilt all finished. it’ll be gorgeous!
I stayed in my jammies both Sunday and Monday … of course, I sleep in a pair of sweats, so it’s not difficult to just put them back on after a shower. 😉
It’s been too cold for me to get out to get a picture of the snow we had here … plus I’m not sure that my photography skills are up to doing justice to the drifts we had. 😉
It’s really lovely to stay inside when its miserable out. Puppy doesn’t seem to be minding the weather. We’re having gales and floods and my two won’t stick their noses outside the door. I like the green thread but that yellow is a gorgeous shade too!
PJs and quilting on a frosty day what could be better. Especially when the quilting is a completed Farmer’s Wife quilt – Can’t wait to see what you do with it. Stay warm.
Wow! Congratulations on your Farmers Wife finish. That is quite an accomplishment. I’m sure that whatever you decide on you will quilt it beautifully, as always!
