Clever title, eh? Feeling kind of yucky this week so the brain is a bit low on power. Daughter #1 have me the Farmers Wife book for Christmas a couple years ago. I made 62 blocks and stopped because I want to hang the quilt in my front hall so I didn’t want it too big. I loved making these out if favorite scraps. I even made a box to keep my blocks in!

Here are a few if my favorite blocks:

I really wanted to get these together before Christmas this year. But things are getting busier every day.
Hubby asked me to make a wedding gift for a coworker and I have decided to use these fabrics to make a nap quilt.

I have the day off tomorrow so we shall see how far I get. I also have two QOVs to quilt and another needed before Christmas that is not yet started.
I guess those Farmers Wife blocks will have to wait a little longer….sigh.

your Farmer’s Wife blocks are really pretty, and I LOVE the fabric pull for your new quilt! I like the idea of making the FW quilt smaller. Sometimes I worry that with a project like that, I’ll lose steam and never finish!
Thank you so much for sharing at Needle and Thread Thursday!

Oh, Katy! I just *love* reading your posts each morning. You’re so inspiring. Those Farmer’s Wife blocks are wonderful. Please share more when you have time.
Thanks for sharing your Farmer’s Wife blocks. We had a special group of friends that met every other week and make these blocks together. What fun we had. My box of blocks now sits on a shelf and every so often I open it and think “lets get these together soon.” Probably not a quilt but maybe something small. Love reading about all the things you do.
The cat and mouse fabric — WANT SOME!! 🙂 Actually one of my favorite pieces ever is a cat and mouse design. I have just a leetle bit left and may never use it, just because I love it so much.
Thanks for sharing the blocks.
Your blocks are turning out so pretty and will be a beautiful quilt. I love the fabrics you will use for your husbands coworker’s quilt. The box you made is so cute. How did you make that? What a fabulous way to store a WIP.
GORGEOUS! 🙂
