What a busy week! I have made progress on my QOV blocks. I am up to 18 now and I really like them.

One of my biggest concerns with getting a die cutter was the waste of fabric. Here is the wast from cutting a bunch of triangles.

Yeah, I can live with that. Especially since it improves accuracy so much.
Here is my little sewing friend and her finished tote at. She did a great job!

My wonderful hubby not only set me up with a new computer this week, he also ordered this for me!

Yep, I know, I am totally spoiled!
No time to play with it yet but I will this weekend! And lastly my hat for a sailor is making slow progress as well.

Now, I am off to work! Happy Friday everyone!
BTW, I am linking up with Sarah for:

I use EQ7 regularly and am so glad to have it. I’m no expert — SO MANY things you can do with it, and I haven’t explored it fully. But it’s great for trying ideas. Also I do medallion quilts (among other things) and it’s wonderful for seeing some of the ways borders can combine, before actually cutting all the little bits and pieces. A lot of the posts linked on this page

show EQ7 illustrations of various borders.
I’m glad I found you here and am now following.
I think people forget that even with a rotary cutter and ruler, there’s going to be some fabric at the edges that you just can’t use. Some dies -are- more wasteful than others, but my experience has been that there’s not a whole lot of waste if you think ahead. And I LOVE those triangles with the corners already trimmed off!
What great looking blocks and you are very lucky to get EQ7, that is on my Xmas list.
Great job on the tote bag! My compliments to the A+ student!
