Good Morning from Up North!

Hubby and I decided to take a little jaunt up north for a few days. He is so good at finding quilt shops! We stopped at The Icehouse in Grayling but I didn’t buy a thing. The we stopped at QuiltBiz.com. As their name implies, they are an online shop but they also have a storefront. Here are my treasures:

The best part of Michigan has to be the Great Lakes.

About katyquilts

I am a wife, mom of four amazing adult kids, and a former librarian. I love making everything from traditional quilts to art quilts. I am thankful to God my Father and Creator for the gift of creativity!

Fascinatingly different from my AZ landscape. Thanks!

Love your photos! I grew up walking distance from Lake Michigan (Chicago). We had two breakwaters made of HUGE boulders that protected our section of the beach from the full impact of the waves. The breakwaters were a popular site for sunbathers and fisherman alike. Thanks for bringing back the memories.

This Ohio girl loves Michigan and remembers the beautiful blue of Lake Michigan, Traverse City, and Interlochen. The quilt shops would be an extra bonus.

I live in Northern Michigan. If you are in the Traverse City area — be sure to check out Renee’s House of Quilts in Williamsburg. Great shop!
