Frame Friday

Okay, today really IS Friday! And this is what went on the frame last.

I’ve had this top hanging around for a while because I couldn’t decide how to quilt it. I decided to do my random grid with occasional loops design. It requires turning the quilt after quilting all the lines one way.

I don’t measure anything or worry about straight lines. Here it is after the lines one way are complete.

And here it is after the second pass.

Here is the back. I hand dyed this piece a couple years ago.

  1. I am interested in getting a long arm- I think the quilting done on them is beautiful! How did you decide on your brand? Is the stitch regulator worth the cost?

  2. katyquilts says:

I do have a stitch regulator but you definitely to not need it for this. I have done this both ways and prefer to stitch this without.

  3. This is beautiful! I love how you add the little loops in an otherwise very geometric design!

Do you use a stitch regulator with your long arm?

  4. Beautiful!!! Love your quilting, too!

  5. Sarah Craig says:

Great quilt, and I love your quilting design! Did you just freehand the straight lines on your frame, or do you have an inhibitor of some sort?

    Whoop whoop!!
