I had a wonderful weekend! I spent pretty much the whole weekend celebrating my birthday. My dear husband and BFF, Mark, bought me a Kindle Fire!
We went out to eat on Saturday and got takeout last night. DH is getting ready for a business trip to China and I got a lot of sewing done

While watching Foyle’s war episodes I completed this quilt:
I was convinced that I wanted feathers in the borders but no matter what I tried, my markings wouldn’t show. So I chalked the spine and free handed the feathers. As you can see, they don’t show either!

Oh well, I know they are there! I am happy with how it turned out.
Until next time…

I absolutely love this star quilt – the fabrics you chose are perfect. It’s busy-ness gives it so much character. Doing freehand feathers on a busy print is the perfect way to practice!
