Happy 4th of July!

I am thankful every day that I am able to live in the United States of America. There are many things that are not in order here but there is no where I would rather live.

I have lived overseas, I have visited other countries. I am thankful for the freedoms we enjoy here and I am most grateful for all those who have served and are serving in our military. We owe them a great debt and today I say thank you to all our service people!

This is a quilt I made in the days following 9/11:

Sorry for the skewed picture! This hangs in my front hallway and I cannot get a shot of it straight on. In the stripes, I have machine quilted 2 Chronicles 7:14 which states:

If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

This is my prayer for our great nation this day.

Until next time…..
