A note to all my readers…….the pictures I post on my blog are MINE! To state a bit more clearly, they are not free for you to lift and manipulate and repost as your own! They are considered copyrighted and it is against the law to take and use them!
Clearly most of you know this and I hate to even have to post this reminder but yes, today, I found some of my photos on someone else’s blog.
I am upset….more than a little. I left a comment and am hoping he will do the right thing.
Just when I thought blogging was so much fun…..
UPDATE~ Just received a note from the person who used my photos. The post has been removed, apologies and forgiveness extended. I am very appreciative that this has been resolved.
Also, a reminder that my 100th post happened this morning. Please scroll down for an opportunity to enter my give-away gift!

This is the second time I have seen this happen recently. Glad you spoke up quickly and glad he complied. People are learning. Hopefully.
Thanks for putting the copyright word out there.
Thanks for your perspective Alison. I know that once you put something out there you cannot retrieve it and people will do as they will. The fun of a blog is sharing with others but to me, that does not mean taking from them. What makes me so angry is knowing this person is from the QA list and has been privy to MULTITUDES of conversations and posts regarding copyright. This person is an artist that makes money from his art and should know better. He didn’t bother to even change the file names by more than a letter so while similar pics COULD have been taken elsewhere, clearly these came from my page.
Blogging IS fun – so relax a little and be generous. I think we all have to expect that whatever we put up and however we word the warnings on our websites, there will always be a few who ignore this and continue to blithely use what is not theirs. Those of us who take good pics need to understand some of this activity you’re so mad about is fuelled by envy and low self esteem….and, you know, it would be quite possible to take pretty well identical pictures plenty of other places around your country – I know it well, so I know – and there are other ways of sharing your pics with only people you trust, without allowing access to every man and his dog.
