Wow! 100 and counting….who knew blogging could be so much fun? Yes, there are times I go quite a while without posting but I have enjoyed this little endeavor greatly. I know I promised this about a week ago but an impromptu trip to the west side of the state with my daughter delayed things a bit.
So here is the promised give-away to celebrate…….
Actually, I couldn’t decide what to give so here is a choice! I love both traditional and art quilts and know I have readers of both persuasions so here is Choice #1:
Traditional: If you choose this option you will receive this machine pieced, machine quilted miniature quilt made with repro vintage fabrics.
Choice #2 for my art quilt readers are the following three pieces of fabric (all three are a bit bigger than a FQ). The first is one of my labyrinth designs created with acrylic paint. It was an experiment and has a bit of texture to it.
Also included are two pieces of my dye painted fabrics:
With either option I will include the “Element(s) of Surprise” because every good give away should have a surprise inside, right?
So leave me a comment telling me which option you would like and make sure I can contact you for an address should you win. It would be helpful to me if you could tell me what you like or don’t like about my blog as I am all abotu continuous improvement! Having said that, it is not necessary to win either. I will have one of my darlings help me choose a winner via a random drawing later this week. Yep, my blog so I reserve the right to keep the give away open for up to a week!
Until next time…..

100 Posts is a great thing 🙂 Your posts are interesting and I appreciate your photography. I went to UM in Ann Arbor, and your spring pictures bring me back to campus 🙂 I really like your second painted piece – the yellow sunshine blasting out of the middle makes me smile…

Your blog is cheerful and full of wonderful images. Thanks for sharing the springtime textures (very inspiring to go outside and work on procrastinated plans to record my spot on the planet), and congratulations on 100 posts!
Should I win, I would love option 2!

CONGRATULATIONS ON 100 POSTS!!
Blogging is so fun. I love your labrynth fabric…it is fantastic!!
Keep the posts coming.
We all love giveaways, don’t we? And as a relatively new blogger, it’s nice to see a 100 post milestone, too. I totally love your labyrinth fabric…I want to do a quilt of all labyrinths and mazes, so this picture is a tiny bit of a spur to do and not just think about projects! You take wonderful photos and spring here in Michigan is worth celebrating!
The vibrant colors of your outdoor photos are wonderful. Its fun to see the world through your lens. The fabrics would be my choice.
Nice give-away to celebrate 100 posts. Keep up the good work! I love the bright colors of the hand-dyed fabric and the labyrinth design.
Congrats on your 100th – for doing it AND keeping up with it! 🙂 Either choice is fine with me. LOVE your photography on the 2 recent posts
Wow! Great response! Thank you to everyone who has visited and left comments. I will do the drawing and post the winner this evening when I get home from my class.!
Your art fabrics would be my choice, they’re lovely. The top one reminds me of a Crop Circle, and I love it! I also love the Easter Quilt, it is an amazingly beautiful work of Faith and Love. It must be one of your greatest treasures, and thank you for sharing it with us.
Love your blog – easy to read and has variety, for both traditional and art quilters. If I’m lucky to win don’t mind either art or traditional – I like both as well.
Hi Katy! It’s me, Carol in Mid-Mich at Bay City. I love your little quilt and so my choice would be Choice #1. It’s beautiful!
I also love seeing your quilts in magazines, it makes me proud we have someone so talented in this area!
I don’t blog, but I enjoy reading other folks’ blogs. I learn from them, laugh with them, and share a small part of these people’s lives. So keep on blogging!
God bless,

Did a little exploring & found your tree sketches and your Singer 201. I have several older Singers, including some 201s, so it’s always nice to see them appreciated. Anyway, should I be a winner, I’d love to win the hand-dyed fabrics.
Congratulations on your 100th post! Blogging is almost as much fun as making (art) quilts, isn’t it?
Your hand dyed fabrics are gorgeous, I would love to win them!
Best wishes from Brisbane, Australia,
Linda

Congrats on your 100th post! I know how you feel as I just recently posted my 1000th post!
In just 2 and a half years I have met so many talented artists and made friends around the world. It is fun to meet a new textile artist and I will look forward to seeing more of what you do here. I love the second choices in your give away best since I too do contemporary art quilts.
I would love your art quilt fabrics. It sure is nice of you to have a giveaway.
Hi There,
I would just love to use your hand dyed fabrics in some of the small art quilts that I make. I am always looking for a focus fabric that I can build around and select other colors from and yours look like just the thing.
happy stitching.

I would like to win the art fabric.
I too like blogging…even though lately life has been creeping in a bit too fast and soon so I haven’t had a post since April 4! I hope my readers forgive me.
Congratulations for post 100, and please enter me in the art quilts…or should it be traditional? No, art..no traditional….sheesh, what a split personality I have. So…just dump me in the art quilt one please and keep on blogging!
