A Productive Weekend!

I got to spend a number of hours this weekend sewing! Her is most of what I got done. First, I finshed the quilting and facing on this quilt:

Here is a closeup of the quilting:

I used varigated thread in the dark gray area and am pleased with that. The free motion work could have been better but live and learn! The piece measures 20″ x 29″ and is all done except for coming up with a name. Any suggestions?

I also got a baby quilt for a gift nearly done. In this photo, the binding is not on yet.

This was done with repro 30’s prints. I really like these for baby quilts. It will look better with the binding. That will get done while watching TV with the family. I also got one other art quilt faced this weekend so I feel like I was productive!

What a great feeling!

Thanks Norma! That is a great idea for a name as well.

I like this piece and the quilting looks fine to me. How about “Upwardly Mobile”. Don’t ask me why, it just popped into my mind. I think those sections on the black strips look like they’re climbing up.
